My Story
I've seen brilliant product managers get passed over for promotion while less talented colleagues advance. After 20+ years leading product teams—from high-growth startups to Fortune 500 enterprises, in Director, VP, and SVP roles—I watched the same pattern repeat: exceptional execution, invisible impact.
The problem isn't product sense. It's translation. The PMs who advance aren't necessarily better at product—they're better at translating their work into the language executives understand and act on. They know how to navigate organizational power, build influence without formal authority, and position themselves as leaders before they have the title.
My coaching philosophy isn't about more frameworks or better roadmaps. It's about mastering the skills that actually determine who advances: executive storytelling, organizational navigation, and now—AI-era leadership. I teach the patterns I wish someone had taught me earlier.
When I'm not coaching, I'm building AI-native products at CoachAssist and BoardLens—which keeps me sharp on what it actually takes to lead product in the age of AI. If I'm not working, you'll probably find me spending quality time with my family, or out on the kayak!
